CrossFit – MentalMonday: When am I good enough for competition Mentalwod | mentaltraining for CrossFit

I have my first Crossfit competition this Saturday and to be honest, I am freaking out….There are so many things that I am not capable of doing or not capable of doing them fast enough that I feel totally crushed psychologically and moving backwards rather than forward….So, naturally, I started searching for a help in all mightly internet and stumbled upon Mentalwod website. There are many great articles and one phrase that helps me right now: ÈIt’s not who you are that holds you back, it’s who you think you’re not.

There is the great article about getting ready for competition that you can find below, using the link 🙂

The pessimist sees difficulties in every opportunity, the optimist sees opportunities in every difficulty.

Today Keven and me decided to watch some videos on as we like spending time together watching something, but at the same time we like benefit from it from educational point or for the discussion purposes. So, we came across the video that actually made us both cry and definitely touched us, once more confirming that some obstacles in life can actually be a life changing positive experiences. As I said before in my blog, I don’t think that my life is perfect, but when I look back, there is probably not a single thing that I would change. Maybe I would like to change myself a bit, but definitely not experiences that I had, cause I believe that everything at the end becomes handy. Negative experiences makes you see different aspects of life and makes you stronger. So, the video that we watched is called Amy Purdy: Living beyond limits and you can find here: #TED

It makes me also confirm that “I can change the way you think but I can’t change the way you feel, because this is something much deeper and stronger”.

Spread your love

Some time ago via couchsurfing website  I found out about an initiative, called Korakor and their goal is to spread love around the world…they do many projects, but the one that is the most easy one is called Making love carpet…check their website. Even Couchsurfing project actually is about sharing and opening yourself to the others. First I participated in Hospitality Club project, but CS is much more user friendly and open. I had so many great experiences through this website and I still use it. I should receive couch surfers at the beginning of February. Just it is sad that sometimes people mix it with free accommodation and they don’t understand the main idea about sharing knowledge and experiences. Too often I receive copy-paste request from people who don’t even bother to write my name or mention anything that would connect us. I don’t expect a huge letter, but simple things would make it easy. However, I have met one of the most wonderful people in my life through Couchsurfing and a lot of new things came in my life trough this experience and I could not be more grateful.

It is amazing how many beautiful initiatives there are around the world that help us to realize that we live here and now, for instance, free hugs campaign, raising money for helping the others…there are so many websites that help you to raise money for the cause….even the hostel where I was working back in Barcelona is doing charity project …

I am happy to live in the world where we care about the others and most importantly I am happy to realize that 🙂

Browsing the web and learning

Left Brain Simulation 7

So, my todays learning basically consisted of browsing web and getting new ideas about what I would like to do and where I would like to go….

It is very in concrete, but I feel that at least I found out something new, especially that would help me to organize my thought and plans.

So, todays discoveries would be:

I am listening to it right now. My husband find it a bit annoying, but I prefer this rather than all various sounds coming from outside.

Still have to figure out how exactly it works, but basically you create trigger and action and you relate them to different social and media platforms that belongs to you – IF THAT THEN THAT.

Great application for improving your reading  speed. Tested it with reading some text in psychology at the speed of 450wpm and it is crazy, but I love it.

Basically it is the platform to organize your ideas.

I love reading book, so I am pretty sure that I will benefit from, this website and definitely get ideas about what to read next.

When I will feel that I do not have what to write in my blog, this website definitely will help me at least to get some idea by posting a question….and then I can browse and find the texts that I like and that would inspire me….

and last but not least:

I think that it will be a great tool for my organization skill improvement and clarifying ideas, plus nothing will get lost…I am all over the place.

Plus I use some apps on my computer such as  “quick note” and  “producteev” that should boost me when I am offline.

Looks like today I would be able to sleep without much worries as I have learned something new 🙂
